Rough
Path
theory originated from analysis and control theory, and is naturally
connected to differential geometry and modern algebra. It is an active
and fruitful research field. Recently, exciting links to algebraic
combinatorics have been established. Combinatorial Hopf algebras, with
the Butcher-Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra of rooted trees as the paradigm, play an important role.
This research workshop is a follow up event of the research-in-teams activity of the interdisciplinary research trimester Combinatorics and Control 2010 (COCO2010), which took place in Madrid, Spain, from April till June, 2010, at the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones CientÃficas CSIC).
